Heuer Carrera Chronograph, ref. 1153. A classic vintage Heuer Carrera from the early generation of automatic chronographs. Ref. 1153 was introduced in the late 1960s and is recognised for its distinctive tonneau-shaped case and design with clear references to motorsport. The watch measures 38mm and is crafted in stainless steel with the characteristic case design, featuring the crown on the left side and chronograph pushers on the right. The watch features a 1st execution dial combined with a 2nd execution tachymeter bezel. This combination is not unusual, as Heuer assembled watches during this period using components available in stock. The dial features two chronograph registers with minute recording at 3 o’clock and hour recording at 9 o’clock, together with a date display at 6 o’clock. The tachymeter scale allows average speed to be calculated over a known distance. I nside is the automatic Heuer Calibre 12 with chronograph function. The movement belongs to the early Chronomatic generation and features a micro-rotor with a separate chronograph module. Comes with no accessories.
