Rolex Sea-Dweller Rail Dial, ref. 1665 from ca. 1979 - 5951xx serial – originally sold by an authorized Danish retailer in July 1981. A well-preserved example of the classic 1665 Sea-Dweller. The case remains in very good condition with thick lugs and symmetrical crown guards. The watch features the rare MK2 “Rail Dial”, which has developed a beautiful patina with matching hands and a nicely faded bezel insert. The “Rail Dial” variant of the ref. 1665 was only produced between 1977 and 1979, making this piece highly collectible. The watch is fitted with a T19 dome plexi crystal, giving it a strong vintage presence. It is mounted on a 93150 bracelet with 585 end links, and the clasp is stamped VD, corresponding to 1979.
