IWC Pilot Doppelchronograph, ref. 371303, originally sold in September 1998 – serviced by IWC in 2022. A classic pilot's chronograph from IWC Schaffhausen, combining the brand's historical connection to aviation with advanced Swiss watchmaking. The Doppelchronograph is particularly known for its split-seconds chronograph, allowing two time intervals to be measured simultaneously. The watch measures 42mm and is crafted from stainless steel with a black pilot's dial. The dial features clear Arabic numerals and markers with Luminova, together with hands featuring Luminova for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The classic pilot's design is complemented by three chronograph subdials and day and date displays at 3 o'clock. Inside is the automatic IWC Calibre 79230 with a rattrapante function, also known as a split-seconds chronograph. The function is operated via an additional pusher at 10 o'clock, allowing one chronograph hand to be stopped to read an intermediate time while the other continues timing. A distinctive IWC pilot's watch featuring an advanced mechanical complication and a timeless, functional design.
