Vintage Rolex Sea-Dweller Rail Dial, ref. 1665 from approximately 1978 (serial number 5721xxx) - sold in September 1981. The watch has been serviced by our watchmaker in October 2023. An exceptionally well-maintained example of the classic 1665 Sea-Dweller. The case is generally in excellent condition with beautiful and distinct lugs. The watch features the rare MK2 "Rail Dial," which has developed a fine patina with subtle nuances on the markers at 5 o'clock and 6 o'clock. The hands also have a slight shade difference compared to the dial. The watch has a T19 Dome plexiglass, providing a distinctive appearance, and it comes on an overall fine 93150 bracelet with 585 end links.
