A great example of the coveted vintage Rolex Explorer, ref. 1016, with a matte Mk2 dial. A fine vintage Explorer from 1969 - 2172xxx serial - with the much sought after matte Mk2 dial. The flawless dial has achieved a very attractive and even patina, that matches the hands as one could only wish. The watch houses an automatic Calibre 1570 movement, and sits on a ref. 7836 Oyster bracelet, with 258 end pieces, with the clasp stamped 2/72. A really interesting vintage Rolex watch with lots of charm and personality and a tool watch in the truest sense.
