Reference 228238 was introduced at Baselworld 2015 and marked the first 40 mm Day-Date, offering a more contemporary and balanced proportion. The watch is powered by the Rolex Caliber 3255 – an in-house automatic movement featuring 14 patents, high resistance to shocks and magnetism, and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The caliber is widely recognized for its precision, robustness, and technical refinement. Fitted with the iconic 18 kt yellow gold President bracelet with concealed Crownclasp. The Green Ombre dial with its graduated tone, gold hands, and day-date display completes the overall aesthetic. The watch received an AD service in 2025, during which a Green Ombre dial was fitted.
