Rolex Cosmograph, ref. 6239 from approx. 1967 - 1463xxx serial number. Beautiful vintage Rolex Cosmograph. Technically, this is the first Daytona even though it does´nt have "Daytona" written on the dial as most later Cosmographs do. This is the watch that launched the Daytona legend. This 6239 has a discrete, yet elegant vintage Rolex case measuring 37mm. The case is in overall fine condition with age-related signs of usage. The watch features a T Swiss T "Cosmograph" dial, with some marks and dings at the 12 o´clock and 14 o´clock hour marker. Furthermore the dial shows age-related patina and has a few missing lume plots. The watch runs on a mechanical 17 jewel Rolex 722 movement, that is based on Valjoux 72B. This Rolex sits on a rivet bracelet, stamped 3. quarter of 1962. Comes with original Rolex strap.
