Rolex GMT-Master II “Fat Lady”, ref. 16760, dating to approximately 1986, serial number 963xxxx. The iconic “Fat Lady” was the first GMT-Master II to feature an independently adjustable hour hand. Among collectors, the model earned its well-known nickname due to the thicker case required to accommodate the new movement. Today, it is one of the most sought-after vintage GMT references. The watch measures 40mm and is crafted from stainless steel with the classic red and black aluminium bezel insert, also known as “Coke”. The insert has developed an attractive patina. The black tritium dial with date display and red GMT hand emphasises the model's distinctive and timeless design. Inside is the automatic Rolex Calibre 3085, a technical milestone for Rolex that made it possible to adjust the hour hand independently – a feature that continues to define the GMT-Master II collection.
