The PAM1662 is a modern and technically advanced version of Panerai's iconic Luminor design. The model measures 44 mm and is made of Direct Metal Laser Sintered titanium, an advanced manufacturing technique that provides a light but extremely robust watch case with a matte, sandblasted appearance. Crown and winding beads are manufactured in Panerai's carbon technology; Carbotech™. The watch has a matte gray sandwich dial with small-seconds and date function. The DMLS case gives the watch a more tactical and modern look, while retaining Panerai's strong DNA. The watch has sapphire crystal and a water resistance of 300 m, which emphasizes the model's tool watch character. The watch is powered by the automatic Panerai Cal.
