Beautiful and rarely seen, the Omega Speedmaster Pro Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Moonshine, ref. 310.60.42.50.99.001, was sold by a European dealer in 2022. Arguably one of the most iconic watches of all time, the Omega Speedmaster Professional has become immortalized as the first watch on the moon. This edition of the Omega Speedmaster was created in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. The watch draws inspiration from the original ref. BA145.022 Speedmaster XI Apollo from 1969. It features a stunning chronograph dial that pays homage to the design of the rare BA145.022 XI. This Speedmaster houses the new Master Chronometer Cal. 3861 movement, providing a power reserve of 50 hours. The movement is manually wound, equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, METAS-certified, and can withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss. The caseback is adorned with the watch's limited edition number and can be viewed through sapphire. The bracelet has been redesigned, taking inspiration from the bracelets of older Omega Speedmaster models from the 1960s. The clasp is embellished with the recognizable vintage-style Omega logo, also found on older Omega Speedmaster clasps. This exquisite Speedmaster is limited to 1014 pieces and comes with boxes, papers, certificates, etc.
