Laco Luftwaffe-Einsatz-B-Uhr, ref. FL 23883. Serial number: H16637. Historical and original Beobachtungsuhr from the early 1940s produced by Laco (Lacher & Co., Pforzheim). Laco was one of the five official manufacturers of the German B-Uhr delivered to the Luftwaffe during World War II, and ref. FL 23883 designates navigation watches approved for flight service. The case measures 55 mm - the classic size for B-Uhr. The winding crown has been replaced at some point. The dial is of the B-dial type (Baumuster B) with an outer minute scale and inner time scale as well as a continuous central seconds hand, optimized for navigational use. The watch is powered by a manual, gold-plated movement with a large compensation balance, 4 fine adjustment screws, 22 jewels and polished components, including a hollow-beveled ratchet and crown wheel. The design is developed with a focus on precision and stability during flight. An authentic and collectible military observation watch from the early 1940s with correct reference and documented serial number. Comes without accessories.
