A. Lange und Söhne Grand Lange 1, ref. 115.029, originally sold in March 2010. An elegant and distinctive version of A. Lange & Söhne's iconic Lange 1, combining traditional German watchmaking with one of the most recognisable dial designs in haute horlogerie. The Grand Lange 1 carries forward the model's asymmetric layout in a larger case. The watch measures 41.9mm and is crafted from 18k white gold. The black dial features the characteristic asymmetric Lange 1 layout, with a large off-centre hours and minutes display on the left, small seconds around 5 o'clock, an outsize date around 2 o'clock and a power reserve indicator at 3 o'clock. This special Luminous version differs from the classic Lange 1 models through its white gold hands and hour markers with luminescent material. The dial also combines Roman numerals and baton markers, giving the watch a sportier appearance while retaining its classic design. Inside is the manually wound A. Lange & Söhne Calibre L901.2 with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The transparent sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement's detailed finishing, including the characteristic three-quarter plate in German silver and hand-engraved balance cock.
