A super fine example of a vintage Rolex Submariner, ref. 5513f rom 1977 (5112xxx serial) with a Pre COMEX dial. The classic no-nonsense diver without date and one of the most sought after vintage Rolex watches for some years now. This 5513 is in super fine condition, with a good solid case and nice and fat lugs. This 5513 is fitted with a so called "Pre COMEX" dial, with a great creamy vanilla patina on the hourmarkers and matching hands. The insert is a original and correct fat font insert, with an excellent tritium pearl matching the dial and hands. The Pre COMEX dial was named by collector Ed Delgado in 2007, as the dial shares similar characteristics (not all) with some of the Rolex Submariner 5514 COMEX dials. The watch sits on a 93150 Oyster bracelet with 580 end-links. The clasp is stamped B = 1977.
