A really great example of the very sought after matte dial Rolex Sea-Dweller, ref. 16660 aka Triple Six. This watch which is from 1983 (8057xxx SN) was sold October 26th 1985 and is fitted with an absolutely flawless matte Mk2 dial and hands in great condition a tone darker than the dial. The hands light up for a few seconds after exposere to UV lightning. The 16660 is a transitional model released between ref. 1665 and ref, 16600 and therefore features the best of both worlds as fx. matte dial, crystal glass, fatter case, Cal. 3035 movement with quick-set etc. The case is in great condition with fat lugs. The original bezel insert has faded to a blue hue, giving the watch a super great appearance. Comes on a solid bracelet without any noticeable stretch. The watch comes with boxes, papers, certificate, booklets, hangtags, Rolex service papers, Buehlmann chart, anchor, extra insert, screwdriver etc etc. A fine example of a sought after neo-vintage that has pretty much reached the status of a classic.
