Rolex GILT GMT-Master, ref. 1675 from 1964 - 11xxxxx serial - sold in 1965 for 130.65USD to a Lieutenant from the US Air Defense Artillery Branch. Great vintage Rolex set we are happy to offer for sale. The ever popular ref. 1675, here with a stunning glossy gilt dial. The case of the watch is in fine shape with nice fat lugs and fine crownguards, and just few age related signs of wear. Serial en ref. numbers are fully intact and visible between the lugs.The case has previously been polished and looks just great. This 1675 comes with a fat font pepsi bezel that has evenly faded. The caseback is stamped 1675 IV.64. The watch has a good glossy gilt dial that has creamy markers. Comes with original gilt hands with lume that has aged to a few shades darker than the markers. Comes with a small 24 hour hand. The lume is mostly intact on the dial markers. The lume in the hands is missing from the second hand, and is cracking and partially missing from the hour and minute hands, The lume still glows when put under a bright light which is correct for dials from this time period. With the watch comes boxes, papers, chronometer paper, paper holder, hangtag and original receipt. The movement number was written on the warranty papers, but matches the movement number on the chrono papers. The USAF sticker on the outer box, along with the receipt specifying the terms of purchase for US troops gives witness, that this particular watch was used in the US Airforce.
