A great vintage Rolex Explorer I, ref 1016. A fine vintage Explorer I from 1966 (1279xxx serial) with the much sought after Gilt dial. The dial has some flaking on a few of the hourmarkers, but appears in overall good shape as with the rest of the watch. The watch measures the classic 36mm and is with an automatic movement. This explorer comes on a folded Oyster bracelet, ref. 7836 with 358 end links. The bracelet is in overall good condition with age related signs of wear. A really interesting vintage Rolex watch with lots of charm and personality and a tool watch in the truest sense.
