A great and newly serviced vintage Rolex Explorer, ref. 1016. A fine vintage Explorer from 1964 (1042xxx serial) with the much sought after Gilt dial. The dial has a slight flaking at the bottom, but appears in overall very good shape as with the rest of the watch. The watch measures the classic 36mm and is with an automatic movement. This explorer comes on a Phoenix nato strap, and also comes with a folded Oyster bracelet, ref. 7836 with 280 end links. The bracelet is in overall good condition with age related signs of wear. The watch was serviced in november 2016 by Rolex Service Center. Service certificate and reciept comes with the watch. A really interesting vintage Rolex watch with lots of charm and personality and a tool watch in the truest sense.
