Rolex Cosmograph, ref. 6239 from 1964 - 1090xxx serial number. Beautiful vintage Rolex Cosmograph. Technically, this is the first Daytona even though it does´nt have "Daytona" written on the dial as most later Cosmographs do. This is the watch that launched the Daytona legend. This 6239 has a discrete, yet elegant vintage Rolex case measuring 37mm. The case is in great condition and has the original chronograph pump-pushers. The watch features a black second series black dial i great condition, with a little flaking at the 3 o´clock hour marker. The watch runs on a mechanical 17 jewel Rolex 722 movement, that is based on Valjoux 72B. The watch was recently serviced at Rolex Geneve for 9770CHF. Copy og service receipt and service booklet comes with the watch. Hands and hourmarkers can have been refreshed, at they light up for a minute after UV light exposure. This Rolex sits on a rivet bracelet, stamped 2. quarter of 1964. Comes with original Rolex strap.
