A classic Rolex Explorer II, ref. 1655 aka. "Orange hand" aka "Steve McQueen" aka "Freccione". One of the coolest and most sought after vintage Rolex models, here an example from 1978 - 5499xxx serial- sold originally in April 1980. This particular Explorer is in fair and very honest condition, with with dial and hands that has achieved a pleasant light yellow patina over the years. This watch sits on a newer 78360 Oyster bracelet with some stretch and 580 end links. The original bracelet is still present. The movement is a Cal. 1570 in top condition and running perfectly. This Explorer comes with inner and outer boxes, booklet, certificate and changed parts.
